There are seven (07) types of certificates of origin:
EUR1 Movement Certificate : It only concerns the member countries of the European Union and serves as a certificate of origin.
It was established according to the implementation of the association agreement between Algeria and the European Union that came into effect on 01/09/2005. It should be noted that only the Algerian customs services are authorised to issue it.
Certificate of Origin according to the Generalised System of Preferences - Form A - : It concerns all countries that offer tariff advantages under the generalised system of preferences.
Certificate of Origin of the Arab Free Trade Area : It concerns all member countries of the Arab League except for the Republic of Djibouti, the Democratic Republic of Somalia, and the Comoros Islands. Mauritania has frozen its participation in the GZALE agreement.
Certificate of circulation of goods under the Algerian-Tunisian preferential trade agreement : It concerns goods exchanged directly between the two countries and meeting the agreed rules of origin, under the preferential trade agreement signed in Tunis on December 4, 2008, and which came into effect on March 1, 2014.
Non-preferential certificate of origin issued by the CACI : This certificate is only used to establish the origin of the goods and does not grant the right to preferential treatment.
Practical procedures for obtaining the certificate of origin : Provide the duly completed, signed, and endorsed form by the exporter.
A copy of the invoice domiciled for export is required.
For the first visa operation with the CACI services: it is required to provide a copy of the commercial register as well as the tax identification number.
It should be noted that the forms for the various certificates of origin mentioned above are available at the CACI Commercial Bookshop and the chambers of commerce and industry of the wilayas.
