The Minister of Interior Trade and National Market Regulation, Ms. Amel Abdellatif, chaired a coordination meeting on investment projects related to the development of production capacities for the supply of the national market on Sunday in Algiers, alongside the Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Omar Rekkache.
The meeting, held in the presence of officials from both parties, addressed ways to strengthen foresight and early warning mechanisms for the regulation of the national market, and to consolidate bilateral institutional coordination.
The meeting also addressed the importance of conveying the sector's real needs to the Agency, including logistical platforms, as well as projects related to strengthening distribution networks and encouraging the development of large retail outlets, which can contribute to the organization of commercial activity.
During this meeting, the Minister emphasised "the importance of strengthening institutional coordination between the Ministry and the AAPI to guide investment projects in accordance with the needs of the national market, and to support initiatives that enhance local production to reduce dependence on imports."
For his part, Mr. Rekkache highlighted the role of the AAPI in supporting investment projects in the field of market supply, "with a view to strengthening production and distribution capacities, and supporting economic dynamics and productive investment in the domestic trade sector."
